Road to Emmaus
We live in a wonderful world and the blessings we enjoy are numerous. Looking back on my life thus far, I now see that these blessings and tender mercies of the Lord have always been there. Whether I have recognized Him or not, The Lord has always been by my side; watching over me, protecting, helping, leading, and guiding.
I now know that he could always see in me, what I couldn't see in myself. He knew and saw what I could be and what I can be, not what I was then or am today. As a representative of a loving Heavenly Parent, He knew that if He was patient enough and showed me enough love, that even I would one day recognize Him and all He has done for me. Then when that day came that I knew, really knew His love for me, in return I would spend the rest of my life showing Him my gratitude and love for Him.
This blog is part of the committment I have made to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ. My life has truely changed as now joy fills my heart and hope for the future is real and exciting.
I have titled my blog, "Road to Emmaus" as my journey to my Savior reminds me of the two disciples about which we read in Luke 24. I, like those two disciples, did not always see Christ in my life. Although he walked and talked with these disciples and even sat down to eat with them, at first they did not recognize him. Once they realized it was Him, they were so excited that they ran to tell others.
My hope is that as I share with you how I came to know Jesus Christ and see him in my life, you too might do the same and feel the change in your life and the joy that He brings.
My journey of discipleship continues every day. Come join with me, in all of our . . . .Roads to Emmaus.
